BIRTHDAY POEM AYANA WROTE FOR ME!!!!
Our Friendship (Our ASCS crew: "The
Seven Grand Dames of Flavor")
No one ever peers ahead on his or her path
And can honestly say
"We will be best
friends way beyond our dying day."
No child can see
A friendship growing into
A lifelong journey full of hope,
laughter, and trust
No teen can hope for their clique to hold strong
Without eventually reaching past each other's
end and pulling asunder
However I can truly say
Wherever we chilled
Everyone around us knew who brought the flavor
Whenever we were bored
All of us knew who would break the silence
Whoever needed a way out of a situation or a
prank to pull in revenge as retaliation
We all were ready to help out and execute it
As a child I definitely saw
Who
I yearned to know
Who may become a great comfort in future times of struggle
Who would bring the smiles and smirks
to our dilapidated ASCS lunch table
Who was shy, brave, innocent, naughty, serious, comical, and crazy
And who retained
their sanity, or at least a bit of their sanity on occasion
Throughout my teen years I hoped without restraint
That
my group of best friends would last
Despite the fact
That in the past we've had arguments where some didn't want to
remain acquainted
Despite the notion
That, at times, fears arose about whether in high school we'd loose touch
Because
the big bang was just our luck
In the end the big bang did not end triumphant
For all to see we still hold strong
For all to hear we still talk and laugh with one another
For all to acknowledge we shall always be friends
